Margaret Stammen
Margaret Stammen, age 90, of Coldwater died on Sunday, October 29 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born on January 17, 1933 in St. Henry to the late John & Margaret (Schuh) Jansen.
On February 13, 1954, she married Walter Stammen and he preceded her in 2000.
She is also survived by children, Kathy Stammen-Schmidt of Wapakoneta, Clayton & Jane Stammen of Coldwater, Mary & Steve Boeckman of Coldwater, Lisa & Tim Stetler of Rockford, Roger & Julie Stammen of Coldwater, Janet & Dave Grunden of Celina, and Jenny & Greg Steinbrunner of Celina; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, siblings and in-laws, Paul Jansen, Robert Link, Pat Jansen, Orville & Terry Stammen, Charles & Denise Stammen, Della Gerlach, Eldon Moorman, Shirley & Paul Kelch, and Judy Fennig. She was preceded in death by daughter, Carla Stammen; grandson, Matthew Clayton Stammen, and siblings and in-laws, James Jansen, Isabel & Paul Heinke, Clara & Floyd Lauber, Bill & Betty Jansen, Henry Jansen, Mary & Oscar Hemmelgarn, Robert Jansen, Denny & Lucy Jansen, Louis Jansen, Lucy Link, Johnny Jansen, Tom & Mary Jo Jansen, Judy Jansen, Jim & Brenda Stammen, Art Gerlach, Pat & Roger Dorsten, Barb & Herman Sherman, Dale Fennig, and Margie Moorman.
Margaret was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater. She loved prayer and her family. She was also an avid bingo and card player.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm and from 9am to 10am on Thursday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. Condolences may be left at Hogenkampfh.com.
