* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Jersey June Poff
Jersey June Poff, 11, the beloved daughter of Jody and Alison (Wibbeler) Poff of St. Marys, died 2:39 P.M. Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Dayton Childrens' Hospital, after a brief illness.
She was born Saturday, July 21, 2012, in St. Marys, Ohio.
She is survived by her parents; by her siblings Tannar Rutschilling, Morgan Poff, Jada Poff, Roman Poff and River Poff. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents Gary and Christy Wibbeler of St. Marys; by her maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Dennings of St. Marys; by her paternal grandparents, Trish and Jerry Steinke of Lebanon, Ohio. She is survived by her nephews Marlin and Lincoln Doner.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Ralph Dennings; her great-grandmother, Joy Donovan; her great-grandfather, Hasroe Ward.
Jersey was a 5th grade student at St. Marys Intermediate School. She had many interests and was involved in soccer, competition dance, wrestling, golf, competition dive, performing in plays and watching sports with her Mom. Her hero was Dolly Parton and she loved the band, "Blackberry Smoke"; she was Little Miss Summerfest for 2 years during the pandemic, and was a best friend to everyone young and old. She had a very strong, steady faith in Jesus Christ and she dreamed of teaching Kindergarten when she grew up. She enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds but her favorite team was the Tennesee Volunteers. Jersey will be remembered for her incredible loving heart and her passion for giving. She was an active member of the Wayne Street Church.
Funeral rites will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 8, 2023, at the Wayne Street Church in St. Marys, the Reverend Tim Benjamin, officiant. Burial rites will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the Wayne Street Church, where memorial gifts may be given to the St. Marys All Abilities Park Fund. To honor Jersey, her parents are asking everyone to please dress casually, the way she remembered you. Feel free to wear cowboys boots if you have them!
