* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Jonathan Schmidt
Jonathan Michael Schmidt, age 38 of Sidney, Ohio, died on Thursday, July 20, 2023 in Dayton, Ohio.
He was born on December 28, 1984 in Sidney, Ohio. His father Andrew & Karen Schmidt survive in Sidney and his mother Elaine (Woodruff) & Jon Knouff survive in Sidney. He married Stephanie Schlater, and she survives in Sidney.
He is also survived by children: Keaton and Adeline both at home, sister: Erin Schmidt, Vandalia, mother-in-law: Christine & Jon Wente, New Bremen, in-law: Ashley & Marcus Giere, Yorkshire, Andrea Wente, New Bremen, Daniel & Kelsey Gaier, St. Marys, father-in-law Paul Gaier, Jr, Fort Loramie, nieces & nephews: Mikayla Perkins, Lincoln & Elias Giere and Eleanor Gaier.
Jonathan was a graduate of Jackson Center High School in 2003 and the Carpenters Union #136. He loved spending time with his family, camping and driving his truck. Jonathan will be remembered for his willingness to help anyone in need.
Funeral Services will be held at 7 PM on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.
Friends may call the funeral home on Monday from 3 to 7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stephanie Schmidt for the care and future education of their children.
