* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Mary McEowen
Mary K. McEowen, age 85, of Rossburg, died on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio.
She was born June 27, 1937, in New Weston, to the late Sylvester & Bertha (Henke) Stammen. On June 26, 1957, she married her husband, Robert H. McEowen, and he died December 8, 2007.
Mary is survived by six children, Robert McEowen of Port Clinton, James & Rachel of North Wood, Martin McEowen of Toledo, Melissa Majka & Brian Rees of Akron, Dawn Oldiges & Chuck Augustine of Minster, and Jeniffer Evers of Rossburg. Also surviving Mary are her 11 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, as well as siblings and in-laws: Barbara & Paul Huber, Karen & Jerry Wagner, Hildred Barga, Susie & James Cox, and Tim & Peg Stammen.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary is preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy McEowen, and a brother Jake Stammen.
Mary enjoyed embroidering, puzzles, and watching her children and grandchildren's activities. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and going out to eat with cousins and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 25, 10:30 am at the St. Louis Catholic Church in North Star. Burial in St. Bernard Cemetery, Burkettsville, will follow the mass.
Then a Celebration of Life will be held in the basement at the St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, following burial.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossburg Fire Department.
