Jason Mark Gehret, age 42, of Covington, Ohio, was found to have passed away suddenly Wednesday afternoon, May 10, 2023, at his residence.

He was born January 28, 1981, in Coldwater, Ohio, to the late Anthony Gehret & Madonna (Thobe) Gehret who survives in Versailles.

Also surviving are three children, Nolan, Ellery, and Sawyer Gehret of Greenville; nine siblings: Jeff Gehret of Versailles, Steve & Lisa Gehret of Russia, Jenny & Marvin Broering of Burkettsville, Becky & Eric Hemmelgarn of Maria Stein, Tony & Cheryl Gehret of Versailles, Randy & Christy Gehret of Versailles, Dianna & Tim Kunkler of Burkettsville, Deb & Gregg Elking of Burkettsville and Angie & Kurt Rhoades of Russia along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Mr. Gehret was a 1999 graduate of Versailles High School. He went on to obtain an associate degree in robotic engineering at Sinclair Community College of Dayton. Jason had been owner and operator of JMG Automation LLC in Covington for two years. He was previously employed at Force Design of Troy and Wayne Trail / Lincoln Electric of Fort Loramie. Jason was an outdoor enthusiast; He especially enjoyed fishing, canoeing, hiking, bike rides and games with his kids.
