Joan Pax
Joan A. Pax, age 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Elmwood Assisted Living of New Bremen.
She was born on December 30, 1934 in Lightsville, Ohio to the late Frank A. & Hilda B. (Otte) Stammen.
On November 12, 1955 she married her husband of 67 years, Francis J. Pax and he survives.
She is also survived by her children, Diane (John) Link of Troy, Michael (Kay) Pax of Coldwater, Steven (Marlene) Pax of Coldwater and Bryan (Alice) Pax of Columbia Maryland; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren with 2 on the way; siblings and in-laws, Verena (Donald) Evers, Kathy Stammen, David (Marilyn) Pax, and Marvin (Jo Ann) Pax. She was preceded in death by siblings and spouses: Lester (Viola) Stammen, Bertha 'Berdie' Stammen, Mildred Stammen, David Stammen, Fr. Ulric 'Walter' Pax O.F.M., Thomas (Thelma) Pax, Fr. Raymond Pax, John (Joann) Pax, Fr. Bart 'Luke' Pax O.F.M., Mark (Patricia) Pax.
Joan was a 1953 graduate of Jackson High School. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, the St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality of the church and the St. Cecilia Knights of St. John. She was a volunteer at Community Hospital in Coldwater. Joan & Francis were big supporters of the Coldwater community, and she enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on 10:30 am Monday April 10, 2023, at Holy Trinity Church. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 2 until 6 pm Sunday and 9 to 10 am Monday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
