Cale Rammel

Fort Recovery

Forward, 6-5, Senior

22.5 Points, 9.6 Rebounds, 2.2 Assists

From Bob Fiely in the 1950s to Greg Kahlig in the early 2000s, Fort Recovery has been known for big-time scorers.

Cale Rammel joined that elite list this season, becoming the 18th Indian to go over the 1,000 career point-mark. Rammel finished his career with 1,261 points, sixth in Fort Recovery history and 19th all-time in MAC history.

And much like the other Fort greats, Rammel could do a little bit of everything on the basketball court.

He brought the height and athleticism to dominate the glass, averaging 9.6 rebounds per game, the vision and aggressiveness to drive to the hoop for layups, and the shooting touch to hit from distance. He also generated looks for his teammates, dishing out 2.2 assists per game.

Rammel demanded attention, such that MAC coaches like Coldwater's Nick Fisher and Marion Local's Kurt Goettemoeller had to focus their defensive gameplans on stopping him, and on the defensive end, he nabbed 1.6 steals per game as a tough defender.
