* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Daniel Meiring
Daniel J. Meiring, age 57, of Minster, died in the early morning hours on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at his home at Lake Loramie after a decline of his health.
He was born on November 16, 1965 in Coldwater, the son of the late Robert C. and Vivian E. (Borgerding) Meiring.
He is survived by his mother Betty K. (Muhlenkamp) Meiring, his children: Justin (Lisa) Meiring of Plain City, Ohio, Ashley (Kyle) Brandewie of Sidney, Tyler (Josie) Meiring of Minster; and his six grandchildren: Jett and Keira Meiring, Boyd and Levi Brandewie, Valerie and Averi Meiring. Also left to cherish his memory are his siblings: Bryon Meiring of New Bremen, Kevin (Betsy) Meiring of Ft. Loramie, Steve (Jennifer) Meiring of Cincinnati, a number of nieces and nephews, and his best friend, Gloria Davidson.
Dan was a graduate of New Bremen High School. He worked in the plant at Crown Equipment Corp. in New Bremen for over 20 years before working at Dannon in Minster as a Team Leader. Dan was a sports enthusiast, cheering on the OSU Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns, had played softball in his youth, and was an avid bowler for many years. He also loved to watch movies and had a vast knowledge of movie and pop-culture trivia. He was a big fan of 1980's rock music and enjoyed eating out and socializing at many area establishments.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 6:30 P.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, with Deacon Brad Feltz officiating.
Calling hours will be held prior to the service on Friday, at the funeral home, from 4:00 until 6:30 P.M.
