* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

George Koesters
George A. Koesters, age 80, of Coldwater, died on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at his home in Coldwater.
He was born August 19, 1942, in Celina, to the late Clarence & Octavia (Meyer) Koesters. On September 17, 1966, he married Shirley (Remaklus) and she survives in Coldwater.
George is also survived by children: Jeff & Jenny Koesters of Coldwater, and Andy Koesters of Dayton, grandchildren; Kelsey & Josh Robinson and Maddox Koesters, a great-grandchild; Cade Robinson, as well as siblings and in-laws: Rose & Verus Muhlenkamp of Trinity, Indiana, Charlie & Johanna Koesters of Coldwater, Ann Miller of Ft. Wayne, Mary & Don Miller of St. Henry, Pat & Marvin Post of Coldwater, Virginia Remaklus of Coldwater, Sue Muhlenkamp of Coldwater, Betty & Ernie Schoenlein of Portland, Jim Remaklus of Coldwater, and Joan & Moe Voskuhl of Coldwater, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by a siblings and in-laws, Francis & Linus Brackman, Leo & Shirley Koesters, Joe Koesters, Ruth Ann Koesters, Jim Miller, Dick Muhlenkamp, and Alice Remaklus.
George was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the church choir, the Coldwater Knights of Columbus, Coldwater Eagles, and Coldwater American Legion. George was a veteran of the United States Navy. George had a strong passion for the sport of golf and loved the time he spent with his golf buddies, most notably playing at the Golf Club of Limberlost in Geneva. He also enjoyed watching local High School athletics and playing cards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Monday, March 13, 2023, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1:00pm - 5:00pm on Sunday, March 12, or from 9:00am - 10:00am on Monday, March 13, at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
