* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Carol McDonald
Carol W. McDonald, 86, of St. Marys, died 11:28 A.M. Saturday, February 25, 2023, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minster.
She was born July 26, 1936, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Edgar and Hazel (Nevergall) Schaffer. She married John McDonald on September 16, 1972, and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2000.
She is survived by her children: Ron (Julie) Rupert of Whitesboro, Texas; Russ (Deb) Rupert of Wapakoneta; Roxann (James) Lengerich of St. Marys. She is survived by her five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, and by her loving dog, Happy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Schaffer and Hazel Schaffer Poppe; by her brothers: Jimmy Schaffer; Jerry Schaffer; Oscar Schaffer; by her half-sister, Rosemary Sales; by a grandson, Matthew Rupert and by 2 great-grandchildren.
Carol was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. She retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in 1993, and she was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys. She and her husband, John, loved to camp and travel in their motorhome and were members of the Nomads Family Motorcoach Association. She was a member of the Senior Swingers Dance Club and had been a Cub Scout Den Mother.
Funeral rites will be held 12:00 noon Friday, March 3, 2023, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, the Reverend Rhonda Hainer, officiant. Burial rites will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. til the time of services on Friday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be given to Everheart Hospice.
