Evelyn Richards
Evelyn Richards, age 68 of Celina, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at the Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on February 7, 1954 to the late Rev. James and Mary (Banks) Banks in Middletown. On October 6, 1975, she married Thomas Richards who passed away on May 19, 2014.
She is survived by her children Melissa (Mike) Browder of Celina, Josetta "Jo" (Chris) Doseck of Celina, grandchildren Tyler (Laura) Richards, Jake Browder, Josh Browder, Matt Browder, Aaron Doseck, Zach Doseck, great grandchildren Adalyn Richards, Carson Richards, sisters Patricia Banks of Franklin, Kathy Sue (David) Dionne of Franklin, and sister-in-law Vickie Banks of Franklin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters-in-law Leo (Harriet) Banks, Clifton (Ruth) Banks, Llyod Banks, Jerry Banks, James Banks, and sister Geneva Banks.
Evelyn graduated from Celina High School with the class of 1972. She was formerly employed at Ohio City Manufacturing and she was the cook at the Celina Manor for twenty-two years. She was a member at The Anchor Church of Celina and was a very active member. She loved to baby sit her great grandchildren and she was a very good cook.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at The Anchor Church of Celina, with Rev. Simon Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Mercer Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. on Friday, January 27, 2023 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home, and an hour before services at The Anchor Church on Saturday.
