Connie Davenport
Connie "Constance"(Hamberg) Davenport, age 70, of Montezuma, died on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at her home in Montezuma.
She was born March 22, 1952 in Coldwater to the late Louis & Ruth (Hess) Hamberg. She married her husband, Roger Davenport on August 21, 1972 and he survives her.
She is survived by six children, Bryan Davenport of Montezuma, Lisa & Dan Sibert of Celina, Daniel Davenport of Englewood, Amy & Gabe Lehman of Celina, Betsy & Todd Green of Monclova, and Denise & Bob Hierholzer of Montezuma; grandchildren, Alek, Regan, Bryce, and Bria Sibert, Kinley, Nora, and Brynn Lehman, Kourtney, Makayla, and Gavin Green, and Hadley Hierholzer; and siblings and in laws, Nancy & Harry Muhlenkamp of Geneva, Indiana, David Hamberg of Sidney, James Hamberg of Columbus, Tom & Eileen Davenport of Wesley Chapel, Florida, Art & Eddy Davenport of Venice, Florida, and Don & Lauri Davenport of Lake Mary, Florida.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Hamberg.
Connie was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Montezuma and the Christian Mother's Society. She was a former member of La Leche League in Celina and a former local 4-H advisor. Connie was best known for baking cookies, providing local childcare, and sewing, but also enjoyed gardening, canning, and knitting. Connie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren the most.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma. Burial will follow at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Monday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
