Lawrence Niekamp
Lawrence H. Niekamp, age 79 of Minster, Ohio, died at 5:41 PM on December 15, 2022 at Miami Valley Hospital Dayton, Ohio.
He was born on April 22, 1943 in St. Sebatian Ohio to the late Alfred & Martha (Deppen) Niekamp. He married Elizabeth "Betty" Hilgefort on May 22, 1965 in St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Newport, Ohio. She survives in Minster.
He is also survived by children: Theron Niekamp, Perrysburg, Kurt Niekamp, Sidney, Trisha & Kurt Kramer, Westerville, granddaughter: Kamryn Keller, brothers & sisters: Nita Delillis, Middletown, Janet Imwalle, Troy, Moe & Diane Niekamp, New Bremen, Dale & Shirley Niekamp, Coldwater, Mike & Brenda Niekamp, Celina, in-laws: Roberta Niekamp, Celina, Ed Rosengarten & Marianne Brunswick, Ft. Loramie, Lois Dammeyer, Wapakoneta, Bonnie & John Vagedes Ft. Loramie.
He was preceded in death by brothers & sisters: Bernice & Mark Kremer, Doris Niekamp, Ruth & Evart Dorsten, Ed Imwalle, Joe Delillis, Cy Niekamp, Don & Audry Niekamp, in-laws: Marian Rosengarten, Ned Dammeyer.
Larry was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and retired from Nidec Minster after 52 years as a field service agent.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with burial to follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster on Tuesday, December 20 from 3 to 7 PM and from 9 to 9:30 AM on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rustic Hope.
