* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Steven Gehle
Steven Richard Gehle, 55, of Celina, formerly Rockford, passed away early morning on November 4th at The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born on June 28, 1967, at Coldwater Hospital. He was the son of Margaret (Homan) Gehle and the late Keith Gehle. On September 28, 1991, he married Melissa Wollet, who survives in Celina.
Steve graduated from Parkway High School in 1985. After graduation, he began his truck driving career with his family business, Gehle Transport, Inc. Steve purchased the family business in 2007.
Steve was very generous with his time and contributed his talents to many community groups. He was a boy scout leader, member of the Civil Air Patrol, Village of Rockford Councilman, President of the local Tree City organization and took part in many projects in his hometown.
Steve was diagnosed with cancer in 2019 but this did not deter him from enjoying his life and his family. He looked at everything with a positive attitude and coined his motto, "Keep Smiling." Steve treasured his family and was totally smitten by his two beautiful granddaughters. He fought his cancer like a warrior, never being bitter and never turning away from his faith.
Besides being survived by his wife, Steve is survived by his children: Connor (Julia) Gehle, Rockford, Kaylee Gehle, Columbus and Emily Gehle and Joshua Gehle, Celina; granddaughters, Lillian and Sophia Gehle, Rockford; mother, Margaret Gehle, Rockford; siblings Jennifer (Tim) Sterrett, Rockford, Marie Gehle, Evans, Georgia and James (April) Gehle of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; sisters-in-law Kim Gehle-Forbes, Wheaton, IL and Wendy (Mark) Hanson, Van Wert; brother-in-law Michael (Kendra) Wollet, Phoenix, AZ; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Keith Gehle; brother, Allen Gehle; grandparents Alfred and Bernadine Homan and Al and Florence Gehle.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022 at St Teresa Catholic Church, 4227 OH-707, Rockford.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Steve's granddaughters' college fund or the Leota Braun Foundation, P. O. Box 364, Rockford, Ohio 45882-0364.
