* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Doris Neff
Doris M. Neff, age 97 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 7:45 PM Saturday May 28, 2022 in Rest Haven Nursing Home of Greenville.
Doris was born October 17, 1924 in Franklin Township Darke County, Ohio and the daughter of the late Mart and Clina (Jones) Marker.
She grew up as a member of the Painter Creek Church of the Brethren and was baptized at the age of 12. Upon her marriage on October 23, 1948 to Jim Neff, she moved to the Palestine area and became a member of the Palestine Church of Christ. Doris graduated from Franklin Township School in 1942 and was a graduate of Miami Jacobs College in 1943 with an Executive Secretary Degree. Following her college graduation, she worked in Dayton for 5 years as a Personnel Assistance. She then moved back to the Greenville area and became a Legal Secretary working for various Greenville attorneys.
  Doris was a very friendly and outgoing person and enjoyed her many friends. As a Charter member, she assisted starting the Aliqui Club, which had 12 members and was a Life member of the Greenville V.F.W. Auxiliary. Some of her other interests includes playing cards, dancing at the former Crystal Ball Room, going on picnics, attending LaSourdsville, Coney Island, numerous supper clubs, watching a couple of her favorite TV shows and writing poetry. She loved spending time with her family and her time attending school.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband James D. "Jim" Neff December 7, 2008; sons David M. Neff and Infant Scott Neff; grandson Chad A. Fisherback and her twin brother Dale M. Marker.
Doris is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Douglas J. and Debbie Neff of Greenville, daughter and son-in-law Tamara S. and Tim Sackett of Greenville, daughter-in-law Marcia Neff of Ft. Recovery; grandchildren Erica (Jim) Bowers, Adrienne (Brad) Siefring, Mitch Fisherback and Maria (Aaron) Neff-Brandenburg; eight great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday June 3, 2022 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Mike Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 1:00 PM until time of the services in the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to the Palestine Church of Christ, 290 Lynn Street Palestine, Ohio, 45352.
