Gretchen Bollenbacher
Gretchen Bollenbacher, 82, of Delaware, Ohio passed away at 6:18 pm on May 03, 2022 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware.
She was born on June 27, 1939, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late James and Harriet (English) Miller. On June 29, 1957 she married Ford Madeana Bollenbacher, who passed away on July 17, 2014.
Gretchen was a graduate of Rockford High School and was valedictorian of her class. Gretchen worked at the Daily Standard, the Mercer County Chronicle, and retired from Wright State University (Celina Branch) working in the Dean's office. Gretchen was a member of the Stateline Writer's Club. Gretchen enjoyed family, reading the newspaper, doing crossword puzzles, writing, organizing pictures in her albums, paper dolls, and collecting Santas. "She Loved Christmas."
Surviving are one son, Greg (Betty) Bollenbacher; one daughter, Jill (Ron) Walker; Grandsons Derrick (Jennyann) Kuhn, Derrin (Colby) Kuhn, Ronnie (Melissa) Walker, Aaron Walker, Matt Walker, Rod Walker, and Brian Walker; Granddaughters, Dani Bollenbacher, Jamie (Robert Loss) Bollenbacher, Natasha (Luis) Joya; Great Gransons, Zeke Kuhn, Asher Kuhn, Alex Beard; and Great Granddaughters, Claire Kuhn, Ciara Kuhn, Olyvia Joya, and Carissa Beard.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Cathy (Dick) Reed; Brother, Jim Miller, and Granddaughter, Libbie Kuhn.
A Celebration of Gretchen's life will be held from 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm, Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Ketcham Ripley Funeral Home, 111 West First Street, Rockford, OH 45882.
