Garnet Babb
Garnet M. Babb, age 78, of Celina, passed away on April 24, 2022 at 11:24 am at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on April 29, 1943 in Swanton, Ohio to the late John S. and LFreda (Raker) Toth. On June 20, 1981 she married Richard L. Babb and he survives at the residence in Celina.
Other survivors include her children, Russie (Chris) Coleman, Shawnee, Ohio, Rodney (Tammy) Fetters, Van Wert, Ohio and Rashell (Scott) Bergman, Celina; a son-in-law, Donn Hoying, Celina; a brother, Mike Toth, St. Marys; eleven grandchildren, Natasha, Brittany, Jason, Ashley, Harmony, Austin, Dillon, Karissa, Kendra, Zachary and Dylan; and many great grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Ronda Hoying; a granddaughter, Jessica; a brother, John Toth; and two sisters, Shirley Bost and Delores Weubker.
Garnet was a 1961 graduate of Celina Senior High School. She retired from Celina City Schools after twelve years of service working as a bus driver. She was a member of Celina VFW Post #5713, Celina Eagles Aerie #1291 and Celina Moose Lodge.
Garnet enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, listening to Jimmy Buffett, watching birds, planting flowers and gardening.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina with Rev. Matt Overman officiating; where the family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm before the service. Private graveside service will be held at Raker Cemetery in Delta, Ohio at the convenience on the Babb family.
