Rockford agrees to annex 51+ acres
Business park planned in Rockford

ROCKFORD - A 51.5-acre business park may become part of the village.
Village council members on Tuesday night passed an emergency ordinance to authorize an agreement between Rockford and Dublin Township to annex the acreage into the village.
TWT Farms, Rockford, which owns the acreage, requested the annexation, village fiscal officer Lisa Kuhn said. [More]

Minster to interview 4 for superintendent job
MINSTER - School board members on Monday night learned four candidates will be interviewed for the district superintendent's position during the next two weeks, according to school board president Trina Nixon.
Minster lifeguard positions open
MINSTER - Councilors were informed many lifeguard positions remain unfilled with the opening of the village pool less than two months away.
Village administrator Don Harrod told council members at their regular meeting Tuesday that only 15 of the 30-40 lifeguard positions have been filled.
Mercer unemployment rates improve
Mercer County's unemployment rate improved in March to 2.7%, down from February's rate of 3%.
The county also kept its status as second lowest for joblessness among Ohio's 88 counties, according to an Ohio Department of Job and Family Services news release.
