Steven Seitz
Steven D. Seitz, age 63 of Coldwater, died April 8 2022, at his home.
He was born September 17, 1958, in Coldwater to the late Daniel & Mary Ann (Severt) Seitz. On January 14, 1977, he married Teresa (Puthoff) and she survives.
He is survived by three sons: Kevin Seitz (fiancé Lacey Hibner), Shaun (Erin) Seitz, and Jeff Seitz all of Coldwater; grandchildren, Cole, Jake, Kelsey, Peyton, Sarah, Parker, AJ, Abby, Kaleb, Colton, Aubree, and Brynn; and siblings and in-laws, Mark (Lisa) Seitz, Carol (Duane) Heinfeld, Pam (Dale) Schulze, Jerry Puthoff, Jim (Mary Lou) Nerderman, Roger (Pat) Puthoff, Donna (Dennis) Hinshaw and Elaine Puthoff.
He was preceded in death by his parents-in-law Albert Puthoff, Mary Agnes Puthoff-Nerderman and Urban Nerderman; siblings and in-laws: Rick Seitz, Ken Seitz, Richard Puthoff, Virgil Puthoff, Frederick Puthoff, Carol Puthoff and Don Nerderman.
Steve was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater K of C, Coldwater Sons of the American Legion, Coldwater Eagles and Catholic Financial Life in Cassella. He graduated from Coldwater High School in 1976 and worked at the former Huffy Plant in Celina before founding Seitz Electric, Inc. in 1988 until he retired in 2019.
Steve was also a retired Goat Farmer, Coldwater Young Farmer, and was past president and served on the Mercer County Fair Board for 14 years. Steve was a car collector and always enjoyed attending his grandchildren's events.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday April 12, at Holy Trinity Church. Friends may call from 2 to 8 PM on Monday April 11 and from 9 to 10 AM on Tuesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
