Duane Miller
Duane L. Miller, age 89, of Celina, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at EverHeart Hospice in Greenville.
He was born on March 23, 1932 in Celina, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Madeline (Custer) Miller. On August 31, 1957, he married his loving wife of 62 years Mary Ann Bihn, who passed away on June 27, 2020.
Duane is survived by his children Kevin (Julie) Miller of Celina, twin sons Kraig (Kim) Miller of Battlecreek, MI, Keith Miller of Coldwater, MI, his daughter Kimberlee (Keith) Laux of Celina, 10 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
Duane graduated from Celina High School in 1950 then served his country in the U.S. Army with the 3rd Army Military Police from Dec. 10, 1952 thru Dec. 11, 1954 during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated the Miller Sohio and Miller Sporting Goods until he retired. Duane was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, the Knights of Columbus Council #1800 of Celina. He was also a member of the Celina American Legion Post #210, Lionel RR Club, the Moose Lodge of Celina #1473 and the Mercer County Sportsmen's Association.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke C.P.P.S. officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina, with Military Honors.
Friends and family may call from 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the I.C. Endowment Fund or EverHeart Hospice 1350 N. Broadway St. Greenville, OH 45331.
