John Kaiser
John A. Kaiser, age 89, of North Star, Ohio, died on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at his home.
He was born September 27, 1932, in Sharpsburg, Ohio to the late Raymond & Cora (Keller) Kaiser. On July 9, 1955, he married his wife of over 66 years, Norma Jean (Keiser) Kaiser, and she survives in North Star.
Also surviving John are five children: Kenneth & Cindy Kaiser of Arcanum, Cathy & Tim Graves of Versailles, Tom & Shelley Kaiser of Bradford, Larry & Angie Kaiser of Versailles, and Don & Mandy Kaiser of Troy. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and one soon to be born, two brothers, Don Kaiser of Greenville, Marvin "Bud" & Doris Kaiser of Ft. Recovery, and a sister Marie Keaser of Greenville.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by a son Ronald Kaiser and an infant child, as well as six siblings, Harold Kaiser, Eleanor Smith, Paul Kaiser, Eileen Depweg, Malinda Kaiser, and Jerry Kaiser.
John served in the U. S. Army from April 23, 1953, to April 23, 1955, during the Korean War, serving with the 82nd Airborne Division. He retired from the former Avco New Idea Co. in Coldwater in 1989 after 37 years. John also raised chickens from 1967-2000. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in North Star since 1955. He was also a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Louis and the North Star American Legion Post 174.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 21, 2022, at St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star with Fr. David Howard presiding. Burial with military honors provided by the North Star Legion will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, North Star.
Family and Friends may call 3:00pm-7:00pm on Thursday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry, or from 9:00am-10:00am Friday at St. Louis Church in North Star.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Darke County Right to Life.
