* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Rodney Toler
Rodney L. Toler, 73, of Mendon, OH died Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the VA Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, IN.
He was born November 6, 1948 in Guyen, WV to the late Troy and Gladys (Blankenship) Toler. He married Theresa Gates on June 21, 1997 and she survives.
Also survived by: daughter Stacie (Bobby) Shadrach of Elgin, OH; daughter Karen (Scott) Wurster of Celina, OH; daughter Shannon (Brad) Wurster of Celina, OH; step-son Brian Gates of Celina, OH; step-son Jason (Jennifer) Gates of Celina, OH; step-son Nathan Gates of St. Marys, OH; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister Brenda (Jerry) Boggess of Michigan; brother Tony (Delilah) Toler of St. Marys, OH.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: brother Daniel Toler; twin brother Kenneth Toler; sister Rita Schnippel, nephew Jeff Toler.
Rod graduated from Celina Senior High School (Class of 1967). A proud American, he served his country as a Navy Corpsman during the Vietnam War. During his tour of duty, he was injured and was awarded a Purple Heart, Naval Commendation Medal and Bronze Star. He was an employee for Huffy Bicycle Mfg. Co. in Celina for 26 years and later retired from Tokheim Corp. in Ft. Wayne, IN. He was a member and strong supporter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion organizations. Rod loved all dogs (big and small), and will have his beloved, "Gus" beside him again. Everyone who knew and loved Rod are deeply grateful for his service to our country. God bless America!
Services to celebrate Rod's life will be scheduled at a later date.
