Tim Smith
Pastor Tim Smith, 59, of Saint Marys, died Monday, December 20, 2021, at his residence, following a year long illness.
He was born May 4, 1962, in Keosaqua, Iowa, the son of Pastor Walter and Marjorie (Geeding) Smith. He married Jackie Campbell on June 30, 1984, in Cardington, Ohio; she survives at the residence.
He is also survived by his mother, Marjorie Smith of Miamisburg; his children: Carissa Smith of Dayton; Kelsey Smith of Columbus; Michael Smith of Saint Marys. He is survived by his two sisters: Debi Bennett of Naples, Florida; Sandi Witter of Medway.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Tim was a 1980 graduate of Cardington Lincoln High School and a 1984 graduate of Mt. Vernon Nazarene College. He earned his Master's of Divinity from the Nazarene Theological Seminary. He had served churches in Alexandria, Virginia, and London, Ohio, before moving to pastor the Saint Marys Church of the Nazarene 20 years ago. He also served as the Chaplain to the Saint Marys Fire Department. Tim will be remembered for his kindness, his warm, friendly personality, his great sense of humor and for his steadfast service to Christ. 
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 29, 2021, in the Tabernacle on the campus of the Northwestern Ohio District Church Camp, 272 Jack Oak Point Road, Saint Marys, Ohio, Pastor Jeff Kunselman, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Saint Marys.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the Tabernacle.
