* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Richard Geist
Richard "Dick" E. Geist, age 83, of Celina, Ohio passed away at 11:46 am at his daughters residence in Lima on November 4, 2021.
He was born January 21, 1938, in North Manchester, Indiana, to the late John R. and Florence (Dickey) Geist. On September 10, 1960, he married Karen (Bowlzer) Geist and she survives at the residence in Celina.
Other survivors include two daughters, Barbara Eileen Geist, Celina, and Susan (Charles) Brinkman, Elida; a brother, Robert (Kristy) Geist, Mendon; a sister, Lois (Carl) McNeilan, Celina; and a grandson, Ian Brinkman, Elida.
Also preceding him in death is a sister, Viola Green.
Dick was a 1956 graduate on Celina Senior High School and went on to receive his Bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Michigan. He retired from The Daily Standard in Celina after 40 plus years of service working as an editor and reporter. He was a very active member in our community serving as the long term president of the board of the Auglaize / Mercer Bi County Community Action Commission. Dick was also a member of Mercer County Democrats and was involved in the Community Arts Council at Wright State University.
Memorial services will be held at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 2:00 pm; where the family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
