Kurt Lauth
Kurt D. Lauth, 64, of New Knoxville, Ohio, died suddenly at 10:35 A.M. Friday, October 22, 2021, at St. Ritas Medical Center in Lima.
He was born May 3, 1957, in Saint Marys, Ohio, the son of Harold and Martha (Heil) Lauth.
He is survived by his daughter, Karlea Lauth of New Knoxville; by his siblings: David (Deb) Lauth of Saint Marys; Randy (Kay) Lauth of Saint Marys; Matthew (Anita) Lauth of Findlay. He is survived by a niece, Emily (Jonathan) Shrader; by his nephews: Adam Lauth and Chad Reiher.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his life partner, Staci Lauth.
Kurt was a graduate of New Knoxville High School. He was employed for many years at Buehler Asphalt Company in Saint Marys.
He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and was a member of the NRA and New Knoxville Gun Club, and he loved spending time on the family farm near New Knoxville. He was a member of Pheasants Forever and the Turkey Federation.
He life was centered around his family and he loved his dog, Raven. Kurt will be remembered for the way he touched so many lives with kindness and true friendship. He was always willing to help someone else, no matter what the need. He learned how to be a loving person at Saint Paul's United Church of Christ in Saint Marys, the church he grew up in.
Funeral rites for Kurt will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, the Reverend Rhonda Hanier, officiant.
Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to either Saint Paul's United Church of Christ or Pheasants Forever.
