Alonzo Smith
Alonzo Boyde Smith, 58, of rural St. Marys, died Sunday, October 3, 2021, at his residence.
He was born July 16, 1963 in Lima, a son of the late Alonzo and Chloteen (Hurt) Smith.
Boyde is survived by his siblings, Ulous "Dean" (Deborah) Smith of Elgin,Betty (Robert) Carpenter of Mendon and Calvin (Cathy) Smith of Lima and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
His brother Alvin Dale Smith preceded him in death.
He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and worked in Union Labor with Labor Union Local 329 in Lima, where he retired.
As per his request, a family graveside burial will be at 10 AM Thursday in the Elm Grove Cemetery new section with Pastor Darryl Potts officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn.
