* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Robert Penrod
Robert "Bob" Penrod, age 86 a resident of rural Dunkirk passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
He was a 1953 graduate of Geneva High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He farmed in Knox Township, retired from International Harvester in Ft. Wayne, and was a member of the Pennville Lions Club.
Bob Penrod was born September 23, 1935 in Geneva, Indiana the son of Leander and Mildred (Dunwiddie) Penrod. He was married to Thelma Ford on August 6, 1961. She passed away on June 18, 1999.
Survivors Include: 2 Daughters- Beth Bruns (Husband-Don), Coldwater, Ohio; Julie Penrod (Mike Bruggeman), Dunkirk, Indiana; 1 Son- Scott Penrod (wife-Michelle), Dunkirk, Indiana; 5 Grandchildren- Grace and Faith Bruns, Shelby McGalliard, Calli Crosby, and Gage Penrod; 2 Great grandchildren: Jayden and Bryson Teeter
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday at the funeral home with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Randy Davis will officiate the services and burial will follow in Lawndale Cemetery east of Ridgeville, Indiana.
The family requests memorials be directed to the Jay County Fair Association to plant trees.
