Ingeborg Dominik
Ingeborg L. Dominik, age 96, formerly of Celina passed away on Saturday, September 18th 2021, at Feridean Commons Assisted Living Center in Westerville, OH.
She was born December 31, 1924 in Essen, Germany to the late Heinrich and Linda (Hõring) Richter. On July 12, 1947, she married Joseph R. Dominik, who passed away in 2005.
She is survived by her children, Christian (Karen) Dominik, Bonita Springs, FL, Linda (Robert) Andrews, Westerville, OH, Patrick (Elizabeth) Dominik, New Albany, IN, and Mark (Jane) Dominik, Dublin, OH. She is survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Ute Spengler of Würzburg, Germany.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, stepmother and brother.
She came to the United States in 1951 on the ship The USAT General Taylor with her husband and two eldest children, Christian and Linda. She was a homemaker and worked 15 years part-time at Dr Dobbins' office in Celina and Coldwater. She enjoyed staying active at the YMCA, reading on her own as well as book clubs at the library. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Celina.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
Friends may call an hour before services at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Celina Public Library, 303 N. Main St. Celina, Ohio 45822 and the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 229 W. Anthony St. Celina, Ohio 45822.
