ST. MARYS - Coming off two straight losses and taking on the defending Division IV state champions, St. Marys faced a tall task on Friday night. But from the first snap, the Roughriders had their eyes on an upset.
St. Marys smacked Van Wert around for a 14-0 halftime lead, answered with a long touchdown drive after the Cougars tied the game, then stopped Van Wert at the Roughrider 15 with 40 seconds left for a 21-14 Western Buckeye League win at Grand Lake Health System Field. [More]

CELINA - The woman arrested in connection with the killing and dismemberment of 21-year-old Ryan Zimmerman, whose remains were found in 2016 near Grand Lake, has pleaded not guilty to additional felony charges which carry a possible death sentence.
CELINA - The more Mercer County residents work to elevate collective COVID-19 immunity, the sooner things will get closer to normal for everyone, said Jason Menchhofer, administrator of Mercer County Health District.
ROCKFORD - When you control both lines of scrimmage, good things will happen.
Owen Lefeld rushed for 200 yards and four touchdowns and the St. Henry defense stymied Parkway as the Redskins snapped back from a tough loss last week to shut out the Panthers 35-0 on Homecoming Night in Rockford.
CELINA - It was seven yards and a cloud of dust for an Elida team which amassed 27 first downs and 362 yards rushing.
Elida averaged over seven yards a carry in outgunning Celina 42-21 in the battle of Bulldogs on Friday night at Celina Stadium.
MARIA STEIN - Marion Local's offense has struggled to put points on the board at times this season, but Friday night it broke loose with four scoring plays of 36 yards or longer in a 56-14 victory over Minster at Booster Stadium.
