* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Bert Bentley
Bert W. Bentley, age 78 of Celina, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 at his residence in Celina.
He was born on April 5, 1943, to the late Beecher and Margaret (Combs) Bentley in Richmond, Virginia. On November 24, 1965, he married Margie Weaver, who survives living in Celina.
He is also survived by his daughters Teresa DiSalvo of Celina, Jennifer (Richard) Wenning of Celina, five grandchildren Dominic DiSalvo, Sophia DiSalvo, Camryn Wenning, Lucah DiSalvo, Ava Wenning sisters Janet Bentley of Kettering and his brother-in-law Gerald (Cheryl) Weaver of Fremont, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Rita Bentley, his brother Harold Bentley and Nephew Timothy Bentley.
Bert graduated from Franklin High School with the class of 1961. Then he worked for the City of Dayton until he moved to Celina in 1976 and he was then employed by General Telephone for seventeen years until he retired. After retirement he worked several part-time jobs in the Celina area. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and most of all his grandchildren. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes Fan and Nascar Fan. Love to solve Jigsaw puzzles and enjoyed reading a good book. Bert never knew a stranger and found great joy in helping others. He was a kind and humble man always had a great sense of humor and a smile on his face.
Private family graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, in the North Grove Cemetery, with Rev. Diane Mendelson officiating.
