Mildred Huelskamp
Mildred "Millie" Cecelia Huelskamp, 86, formerly of St. Joe, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
She was born on February 10, 1935, in Sidney, Ohio, to the late Edward and Rose (Wuebker) Watercutter.
In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her siblings, Thelma (Hugo) Meyer, Edward Watercutter, Robert Watercutter, James (Theda) Watercutter, and Donald Watercutter; and her brothers-in-laws, Linus (Juletta) Huelskamp, Leroy (Betty) Huelskamp, and Don Huelskamp.
Millie was a 1953 graduate of Salem Heights High School in Dayton. She spent her life as a homemaker and enjoyed tending to her beloved family. She was truly a caregiver to all. Millie was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a part of the Altar Rosary Sodality. In her free time, Millie enjoyed traveling with Lester and her family, and partaking in bowling leagues and card clubs. She also liked to bake and can produce from her large garden.
Millie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Lester Huelskamp, whom she married on October 17, 1959; her children, Kenneth (Connie) Huelskamp of Fort Recovery, Sharon (Robert) Link of Fort Recovery, Dale Huelskamp of Fort Recovery, Diane (Bruce) Ontrop of McCartyville, and Janet (Bill) Knapke of Fort Recovery; her 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; her siblings, Roger (Ella Mae) Watercutter of Fort Wayne, and Marlene (Maurice) Brunswick of Celina; and her sister-in-law, Bernice (Tom) Barhorst of McCartyville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1689 St. Joe Road, Fort Recovery, Ohio 45846, with Father Mike Kapolka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joe Cemetery.
Guests may visit with Millie's family on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 9:45 AM at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Friends of St. Joe Church.
