Sherry Steger
Sherry A. Steger, age 72 of Greentown, IN, passed away on June 11, 2021 at 3:08 am in Community Hospital North, Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was born on April 19, 1949 in Lima, to the late Norman and Vera (Mellon) Flory.
Sherry is survived by her life partner, Larry Donat, Greentown, IN; three children, Amy Newland, Lima, Jodi Steger, Minster and Brian (Amy) Steger, St. Marys; a brother-in-law, Dan Foster, Maysville, OH; six grandchildren, Brittany (Chris), Tyler (Ashley), Kayla, Ethan, Brennan and Madalyn; and four great grandchildren, Karsyn, Brydyn, Wessyn and Landyn.
She is also preceded in death by a sister, Karen Foster.
Sherry was a 1967 graduate of Lima Senior High School, she then received her bachelor's degree in accounting from the University on Dayton in 1976. After graduating from college she was a self-employed public accountant for the past 50 years, working until the time of her death.
Family meant the world to Sherry; she loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling, reading, listening to country music and she valued her country, being known as a very patriotic person.
A memorial service to celebrate Sherry's life will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 6:00 pm in Cisco Funeral Homes, St. Marys, with Rev. Matt Overman officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the funeral home before the memorial service.
