Marlene Hoelscher
Marlene Hoelscher age 86 of Minster, died on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Heritage Healthcare in Minster.
She was born May 29, 1935 in Minster to the late Charles & Alvina (Fortman) Schroeder. On October 29, 1955 she married her husband of over 65 years, Nicholas Hoelscher in St. Augustine Church, Minster; and he survives in Minster.
Marlene is also survived by children: Kathy & Joe Neumeier, Rick & Connie Hoelscher, Judy Rauh, all of New Bremen, Tim & Becky Hoelscher of Botkins, and Susan & David Frey of New Bremen. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren, a brother Virgil & Katie Schroeder, and in-laws, Virgil Arling, Juliana Phlipot, Jim & Judy Hoelscher, Doris Hoehne, Cyril & Marilyn Hoelscher, Nelson Hoelscher.
She was preceded in death by sisters Martha Arling, and Carol & Fred Perise, and in-laws, Albert & Lucille Hoelscher, Arnold & Dorothy Hoelscher, Jerome & Pat Hoelscher, Paul Hoelscher, Marlene Hoehne, Lucy Hoelscher, Harold Phlipot, and Urban Hoehne.
Marlene was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. She graduated from Minster High School and began working as a waitress at Farno's Island, then later worked at Globus Printing, and worked over 25 years at Heritage Manor in Minster. Marlene enjoyed baking pies and cookies and bus trips especially to the casino. Marlene loved to spend time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Fr. Frankline Rayappa, Celebrant.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 3 to 7 PM on Tuesday, June 15, and from 9 to 9:45 AM on Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Lake Hospice or the Casey Hoelscher Memorial Scholarship Fund.
