* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Ruth Myers
Ruth Hoenie Myers, age 84 of Rockford, passed away at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford on May 27, 2021 at 10:06 pm.
She was born on April 24, 1937 in Celina to the late Benjamin & Electa (Eichenauer) Deitsch.  Ruth was formerly married to Richard (Dick) Hoenie and later married Terry Myers. 
Ruth is survived by her children, Mark (Judy) Hoenie of Celina and John (Dika) Myers of Austin, Texas and she was preceded in death by her son, Max Hoenie. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua (Megan) Hoenie of Celina, Ashleigh (Andy) Ratermann of Botkins, Sierra Myers of Austin, Texas; her great grandchildren, Jackson & Jase Hoenie, and Marklin, Blake, Haleigh & Kylee Ratermann and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Deitsch of Georgia. Ruth was also preceded in death by her brother, Lowell Deitsch.
Graduating in 1955, Ruth attended Rockford High School.  She was a member of New Horizons Community Church in Rockford.
She loved spending time mowing her lawn and planting her spring flowers. Ruth loved traveling, whether going to Texas to visit her son & family there or her overseas adventures with her "gal pals."  Ruth was always ready to go somewhere, even if it was to the local Dairy Queen for an ice-cream cone.  Most of all, she loved her family, family birthday parties and holidays.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm at Cisco Funeral Homes in Celina; a memorial service will follow the gathering at 3:30 pm in the funeral home.
