Eileen Egley
Lois Eileen Egley, 87, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior 6:40 p.m., Friday, June 4, 2021 at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Indiana. She was born on July 25, 1933, in Mercer County to the late Arlie Oscar and Nora Marie (Bauer) Miller. On March 28, 1954, she married Wayne Egley and he survives in rural Ohio City.
Other survivors include a daughter, Susan (Larry) Fennig of Celina; a son, Kent (Robin) Egley of Van Wert; and a daughter, Judy (James) Perrott of Van Wert. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, A.J. (Amber) Perrott, Andrew (Alicia) Perrott, April (Matthew) Leigh, Amanda (Dan) Creek, Arin (Michael) Krugh, Gwen (Jeremey) Gerken, and Mark (Amanda) Fennig; fourteen great grandchildren; and a brother, Lowell Miller of Findlay.
Besides her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by three brothers, Roma Lee Miller, Floyd Miller and D. Gene Miller; and three sisters-in-law, Gloria Miller, Joan Miller, and Madonna Miller.
Eileen was employed by Egley Farm Equipment. She had also worked at G.C. Murphy and Company, the John Earl store, and the Van Wert Y.W.C.A. She was a charter member of Calvary Evangelical where she had taught elementary Sunday School and served with her husband as youth counselors for 35 years. She has been attending Grace Bible Church. She was a member of the Van Wert County Farm Bureau, Y.W.C.A., Y.M.C.A. and a 1951 graduate of Rockford High School.
Her greatest joy was teaching Sunday School classes for over thirty years and the time she spent with her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Lance Hostetler officiating. Burial will follow at Van Wert Woodland Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 3 - 7 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
