Mercer County Sheriff's deputies and Rockford firefighters respond to a single-vehicle accident Tuesday at Lombard Road and U.S. 33. The driver was westbound on U.S. 33 when the crash happened and refused to be transported to a local hospital, according to deputies at the scene.
