Carl DeMange
Carl F. DeMange, age 79, of Versailles, passed away of natural causes Friday morning, March 5, 2021, at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona.
He was born October 4, 1941, in Versailles, Ohio, to the late Paul & Helen (Paulus) DeMange. On July 29, 1967, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in St. Sebastian, Carl married Diana Mary (Homan) DeMange who survives.
Also surviving are four children: Cindi & Chris Gaiser of Chandler, AZ, Carla DeMange of Chandler, AZ, Craig & Carrie DeMange of Clarksville, OH, Chad & Cecilia DeMange of Mesa, AZ; 8 grandchildren: Derek & Gabby (fiancé) Gaiser, Ethan Gaiser, Trent Gaiser, Ella DeMange, Cameron DeMange, Seth DeMange, Shane DeMange & Sofia DeMange; Thirteen siblings: Betty Poeppelman of Osgood, Nancy & Harold Niekamp of Minster, Marjorie & Paul Bruey of Yorkshire, Joan DeMange of Versailles, Edward & Susan DeMange of North Star, Marilyn & Jerry Bensman of Versailles, Ernie & Diane DeMange of Yorkshire, Leroy & Ann DeMange of Yorkshire, Roger & Kris DeMange of St. Henry, Richard & Marge DeMange of Osgood, Elaine & Ron Marshall of Versailles, Theresa & Bob Hemmelgarn of North Star and Ken & Angie DeMange of Versailles. Also surviving out-laws; MaryAnn Homan of Coldwater, Judy Link of Fountain Hills, AZ, Lucy Poeppelman of Ottawa, Leon & Kathy Homan of New Bremen, Dave Homan of Tempe, AZ, Dennis & Helen Schattel of Bloomington, IN, Terese Knapik of Fountain Hills, AZ, Rick & Marlene Brunswick of Forrest, OH, Joe & Nancy of Washington, D.C., Mark & Lisa Seitz of Maria Stein, Craig & Ann Nesbit of Colorado Spring, CO, Tim Homan of Horton, KS, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by; 7 brother-in-laws and 1 sister-in-law, Ron Homan, Virgil Homan, Martin Homan, Tom Link, Mike Knapik, David Poeppelman, Bob Poeppelman, and Brenda Homan.
Carl graduated from Versailles High School in 1960. He then served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Carl retired from the Minster Machine after 39 years. He performed with his siblings for various weddings and events with the DeMange and Imperial Bands. Enjoyed spending his winters in Arizona and watching his grandchildren at their activities.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, on Monday March 15, 2021 at 10:30 AM, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev. Fr. Jim Simons Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery.
  The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday March 14, 2021 and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Monday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio.
