Victoria Schmackers
Victoria M. Schmackers, 69, of St. Sebastian, OH died peacefully at 7:42 pm Friday, March 5, 2021 surrounded by family. She was born May 4, 1951 in Celina, OH to the late Hugo and Olivia (Keller) Zahn. On November 4, 1972 she married Harold Schmackers who survives and lives in St. Sebastian.
She is also survived by her 12 children. Jason Schmackers, St. Sebastian, Ryan (Carrie Ann) Schmackers, Cassella, Aaron Schmackers, Celina, Matthew (Ashley) Schmackers, Coldwater, Jessica (Jason) Ross, Coldwater, Mitchell (Melissa) Schmackers, Chickasaw, Joshua (Aisha) Schmackers, Fortville, IN, Bridget (Torrey) Dye, Fairborn, Stephanie (Brian) Frey, Minster, Jordan (Amanda) Schmackers, Maria Stein, Erica (Ricardo) Esquivel Calderon, Fairborn, and Derek Schmackers, St. Sebastian; 31 grandchildren and 2 on the way. She is also survived by her siblings, Marie (Steve) Heitkamp, Burketsville, Vern Mannix, Dayton, and John Zahn, Montezuma; in-laws Jerry Schmackers of Florida, Bernice Workman of Columbus, Barb Wenning of McCartyville, Paul (Marilyn) Schmackers Cairo, Elmer (Beth) Schmackers of Troy, Glenn (Renee) Franck of New Carlisle and Lester (Sue) Schmackers of New Bremen.
She was preceded in death by her infant twin brothers, John I and John II, Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Louis and Clementine (Stachler) Schmackers, brothers-in-law, Garth Workman and Kenneth Wenning, sisters-in-law Lois (Schmackers) Brown, Marceil (Schmackers) Wenning, Janet Schmackers and an infant grandson, Zacharias Ross.
She graduated from St. Henry High School in 1969. She loved the Lord, Jesus Christ and lived her life to glorify him. She used every avenue in her life to teach others about Jesus. Vicki was an active member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality, taught CCD for many years and started the Holy Hour Vigil. Vicki believed that God always came first, her family second and her business third. For 41 years she used foot reflexology and her NeoLife business to connect with many people and share Christ, health and healing with them. Vicki loved her husband, children and grandchildren dearly and enjoyed cooking and baking for them. She will be greatly missed by many. Jesus loves you and she loves you too.
A Funeral Mass following all CDC guidelines will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein with livestream at http://www.marioncatholiccommunity.org/live-stream.html. Friends may call from 2 to 7 pm on Tuesday, March 9th, and 9 to 9:45 am on Wednesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Sebastian Cemetery.
