Randy Roby
Randy L. Roby, 55, of Yorkshire, Ohio, died 10:40 P.M. Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster.
He was born December 14, 1965, in Saint Marys, the son of Roland and Mariam Roby.
He married Cindy Poeppelman on December 28, 1994, in Minster, Ohio; she survives in Yorkshire.
He is survived by a son, Dustin Poeppelman of Lima; a daughter, CeCe Chilcoat of Celina; by his grandchildren: Riley Poeppelman; Khloe Chilcoat; Zavier Chilcoat; Hudson Chilcoat.
He is also survived by his siblings: Robert (Janet) Roby of Findlay; Richard Roby of Lima; by his mother-in-law, Sandy Poeppelman of Saint Marys. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; by a brother: Ronald Roby; his father-in-law, Dale Poeppelman.
Randy was a 1985 graduate of Minster High School. He grew up in Minster, and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster. He enjoyed fishing, landscaping and gardening, and grew many of his own vegetables each year. He and Cindy loved cruising on Grand Lake St. Marys on their pontoon. Randy was a pet lover, and took care of many abandoned cats, nursing them back to health.
Funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Deacon Marty Brown, officiant.
Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral rites Wednesday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to the Cancer Association of Auglaize County.
All visitors to the funeral home are required to wear a mask, in accordance with the mandates of the Ohio Department of Health.
