Mary Schmiesing
Mary L. Schmiesing age 91 of Minster, Ohio died Sunday, January 17, 2021 at her home in Minster.
She was born September 3, 1929 in Minster, Ohio to the late Lawrence & Elizabeth (Sturwold) Naber. She married Thomas J. Schmiesing on March 31, 1951 at St. Augustine Church, Minster, Ohio. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1995.
She is survived by children: Mark & Karen Schmiesing, Shawnee, Ohio Dennis & Becky Schmiesing, Tim & Kay Schmiesing, Brenda &Doug Spieles, all of Minster, 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brother & sisters: Vernon & Wilma Naber, Wilma & Harry Heinl and Norma & Waldo Bruchett.
Mary was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster and the Mission Commission of the church. She was a graduate of Good Samaritan School of Nursing in 1950 and co-founder of Globus Printing. She started the Eucharistic Adoration at St. Augustine Church. Faith and family were very important parts of her life.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM on Friday, January 22, 2021 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery, Minster.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, January 21, 2021 and from 9 to 9:30 on Friday. Visitors are asked to follow CDC guidelines.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Mission Commission.
