Pauline Axe
Pauline J. Axe (nee Muhlenkamp) 95, formerly of St. Marys, Ohio died at 9:00 pm. Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Pauline was a resident at Brookdale Assisted Living Center in Marysville, Ohio for the past four years.
She was born October 6, 1925 in St. Henry, OH to Albert D. and Veronica (nee Steinlage) Muhlenkamp. Pauline was married to Frank A. Axe on November 25th, 1948 at St. Henry Catholic Church, and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by: Son, Gary Axe (Winona) of Auburndale, Florida; Daughter, Jean Ann Lohmuller of South Bend, Indiana; Son, Robert Axe (Jamie) of Milford Center, Ohio; Sister Joan Russell; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; 2 infant children Mary Axe and Joseph Axe; Sister, Ruth Kunk; Sister, Armelia Waters; Brother, Richard Muhlenkamp; Son in law Marty Lohmuller (Jean Ann).
She retired after 40 years from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in St. Marys, as a supervisor. She was a lifetime member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and The Altar and Rosary Society in St Marys.
Pauline was well known and loved for her quick wit and feisty attitude. She loved to play bingo, but mostly Pauline cherished and loved her family. She will be sadly missed by many.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 4, 2021, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys, Father Alexander Witt, celebrant. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:30-11:00 A.M. Monday at the church. All visitors to the church are required to wear a mask, in accordance with the mandates of the Ohio Department of Health.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
