John Eilerman
John E. Eilerman, age 77, died at 2:15 AM on December 17, 2020 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born on March 9, 1943 in Minster, Ohio to the late Gregor & Anna Marie (Hoying) Eilerman. On December 31, 1966 he married Sandra Kay Eilerman and she preceded him in death on March 11, 2018. He is survived by a special friend Patsy Kennedy.
He is also survived by children: Nicole & Jarrett Schmitmeyer, New Bremen. Robert & April Eilerman, Lakeview, Terry & Teresa Eilerman, Houston, Marion "Pete" & Tammy Eilerman, Cridersville, 12 grandchildren: Joey, Brittney, Megan, Shawn, Tara, Daniel, Sean, Derek, Brad, Jacob, Adam & Austin, and 19 great grandchildren, brothers & sisters: Janet Hoying, Joan & Robert Schnabel, Judy & Jon Sacksteder, Jerome & Margaret Eilerman, all of Minster, sister-in-law Peg Eilerman, New Bremen.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Tina Phlipot, grandson, Ronald John, 2 great grandchildren: Landen Phlipot & McKinlee Homan, brother: Joe and brother-in-law Robert Hoying.
He was a member of St. Augustine Church, Minster. He was a graduate of Minster High School and a member of Minster F.O.E. #1391.
He was friends of Amish Community, a lover of art and enjoyed dirt track racing. He retired from Midmark. He will be especially missed by his dog Bailey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Monday, December 21, 2020 at St. Augustine Church, Minster with Rev. Frankline Rayappa, Celebrant.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster on Monday from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. The family asks that the CDC regulations of wearing masks and social distancing be followed.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Landen Thomas Phlipot Foundation for SIDS awareness.
