Franklin Township renewal levy

Voters face levy issues on Nov. 3

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP - Franklin Township voters will decide the fate of a five-year, 1.5-mill renewal levy with an increase of 0.1 mill for fire protection on the Nov. 3 general election ballot.

The levy would generate $122,400 per year. The owner of a $100,000 home would pay $56 annually.

Montezuma Fire Department chief Lee Braun said funds generated by the levy are used for operational costs, including equipment, training and insurance.
