* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Jake Muhlenkamp
Jake D. Muhlenkamp, age 15, of Portland, Indiana, passed away on October 9, 2020 at the scene of an ATV accident in rural Fort Recovery, Ohio. He was born August 6, 2005, in Coldwater, OH, to Troy and Krista (Linn) Muhlenkamp, who survive in Portland, IN.
Also surviving are his brother and sister, Peter and Daisy Muhlenkamp, living at home and his grandparents, Terry & Theresa Linn of Celina, OH and Lavaughn & Doris Muhlenkamp of Portland, IN.
Jake was a freshman at Jay County High School. He worked on the family farm and also for a local dairy farmer. Jake took a deep interest in learning everything he could about farming. He loved his job. He also enjoyed being in the outdoors. Jake was a fun loving, cheerful and laid back individual who was often considered the life of the party by his family and friends at get-togethers. Jake was known for being kind, selfless, compassionate, and a true light of joy to all those around him. He was a special young man who will be dearly missed by all. Jake was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and its Catholic Youth Organization, Bryant, IN.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bryant, Indiana, with Fr. Peter Logsdon officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3- 8 pm Tuesday and 9 - 9:45 am Wednesday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio. Social distancing and CDC guidelines will be followed during the visitation and Mass.
