Celina Fire Department Lt. Jon Schumm uses a broom to brush flames off of dry corn stubble Friday afternoon at 9582 U.S. 127 north of Celina. Celina, Mendon and Rockford firefighters were called to the scene near Fast Road at 1:48 p.m. Friday, and were reportedly on scene for four hours. No buildings were affected by the blaze, and no one was injured.
