Patricia Bruggeman
Patricia "Pat" Bruggeman, 81, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
She was born on March 14, 1938, in Versailles, Ohio, to the late Norbert and Lillian (Wright) Frantz.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald "Jerry" Bruggeman in 2017, whom she married June 29, 1957; her son, Ron Bruggeman and his wife, Marija; her sisters, Martha Kunkler and her husband, Ted, Ree Bergman and her husband, Melvin, Millie Lee, and Norma Bettinger and her husband, Clete.
Pat had many talents, interest and hobbies. She and Jerry loved to drive anywhere on their many road trips. She enjoyed going to "The Boat" with friends and family.
She was a creative woman and would paint cement yard ornaments and would make wreaths for all seasons. Pat liked people and wouldn't waste an opportunity to make new friends. This characteristic served her well after she moved into the BRC after an injury in 2014.
While there, she made many friends and considered the entire BRC community her second family. She loved spending time with them playing games and bingo.
Pat was a very independent lady. She was always on her motorized chair going everywhere, even if she shouldn't. She would hop on Greenville transit and head to Kroger or Walmart leaving everyone looking for her.
Pat is survived by her children, Kathy Kiser of Greenville, Vicki Longfellow and her husband, Dan, of New Madison, Ohio, and John Bruggeman of Celina, Ohio; her grandchildren, Ben Longfellow and his wife Belinda, Eric Longfellow and his wife, Adrienne, Bill Kiser and his partner, Shonda Thomas, Myra Cattell and her husband, Lee, Kate Wright and her husband, Jesse, and Kevin Bruggeman; her great grandchildren, Clayton, Illyana, Thor, Remy, Sebastian, Daniel, Maddy, Sam, Gavyn, Ellie, David, Ava, Zoƫ, Hawk, Seth, Hailey, Greyson, and one on the way; and her brother, Norb Frantz and his wife, Jackie.
A Celebration of Pat's life will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 11:30 AM at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus with Pastor Paula Ulrich officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery.
