Coldwater garage fire

Coldwater firefighters respond to a garage fire at 215 W. Walnut St. on Tuesday afternoon. Coldwater Fire Chief Brent Forsthoefel said the fire was likely caused by a propane heater that had been left in the outbuilding, but the exact cause was still unknown Wednesday afternoon. He estimated the fire caused $10,000 in damage, destroying the contents and the structure, which will need to be razed. Firefighters were called at 2:15 p.m. and were reportedly on the scene for two hours.
