Student designs a corporate T-shirt

CELINA - A Tri Star Career Compact student has designed a T-shirt for her workplace that's now being worn across the Midwest and beyond.
St. Marys High School senior Dani Hall and her Celina Biggby co-workers were dissatisfied with their work shirts, so owner Jon Sell challenged her to design one of her own with a unique flair.
The graphic design student used her skills learned at Tri Star to design a shirt that reflects her love of working at the coffee company, which she's done for about 10 months.
"The people are fun to work with. I like working there a lot," she said.
She expressed her passion for Biggby by including a heart on a coffee mug with the phrases "Made with love" underneath and "Coffee at its Biggby Best" underneath to showcase the business's house coffee of the same name.
"Her positive attitude at work is contagious," Sell said. "She always has a smile on her face, and she is always happy to come to work. She's just one of those happy people that's fun to be around."
Sell liked the design and decided to put it onto a shirt. He then posted the shirt on the store's Facebook page, and the post went viral.
"Biggby Nation is in love with them. I know stores in Indiana to Wisconsin have had Dani's shirt made," he said.
When she learned the news, Hall recalled being shocked and in disbelief.
Hall recalled not being very interested in art until she saw her cousin draw when she was in the eighth grade and thought it looked fun.
Around that time, the Modern
College of Design in Kettering personnel gave a presentation to her class that inspired her to attend school there one day.
She is following that dream and has earned a scholarship to study graphic design there.
Her teacher, Lisa Sheppard, thinks Hall can accomplish anything to which she puts her mind.
"She is very creative. It doesn't matter what program she is working on, she makes the project her own and makes it stand out," she said.
Hall aspires to put her love of art to use in her future career by working for Apple and helping to develop its promotional material.
