* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Rita Stachler
Rita B. Stachler, age 94, of St. Henry, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at The Gardens at St. Henry.
She was born September 23, 1925 in Wendelin, to the late August & Mary (Jutte) Siefring. On April 26, 1947 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church she married Richard H. Stachler and he died December 4, 1997.
Rita is survived by children: Geraldine & Art Bruns of Noblesville, IN, Ralph & Jean Stachler, Jerry & Pat Stachler, all of St. Henry, Betty & Gary Klosterman of Coldwater, MI, Bill & Janet Stachler, Ted & Joan Stachler, and Ed Stachler, all of St. Henry, and Dr. Ronald Stachler of Zionsville, IN. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, a brother, Clarence & Dorothy Siefring of Wendelin, and in-laws, Stanley Goettemoeller of Cassella, and Barb Leistenschneider of Coldwater.
Rita was preceded in death by sisters, Alma Goettemoeller, Hilda & Carl Wuebker, and in-laws, Jim Leistenschneider, and Dorothy & Elmer Schmiesing.
She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry. She was active in the Mercer County Senior Citizens programs for many years. She enjoyed sewing and making doll clothes and blankets, especially for her grandchildren and for mission work. She was devoted farmer's wife and mother. In her younger years she enjoyed fishing, cooking, and embroidering. In her later years she enjoyed word find puzzles and spending time with her family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, December 27, from 3:00 to 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.   
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's School for the deaf, or the St. Henry Cemetery Fund.
