* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Larry Putman
Larry D. Putman, age 78, of Rockford, Ohio, passed away at 3:20 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community. He was born September 3, 1941 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Max E. and Myrtle V. "Peggy" (Baumgardner) Putman.
He is survived by three brothers, Jerry L. (Kay) Putman, Rockford, Terrell Putman, New Knoxville, and Gary A. (Jill) Putman, Van Wert; six nieces and nephews, Kim (Brian) Linder, Texas, Chris (Rose) Putman, Payne, Ohio, Trisha (Jon) Smith, Van Wert, Stacia (Brent) Barnhart, Van Wert, Shaun (Shawna) Putman, Van Wert and Michael (Kelly) Putman, New Knoxville; and many great nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Sandy Putman.
Larry attended Rockford Schools. He worked and lived his entire life on the family farm in Rockford. After moving to Otterbein he enjoyed fishing, bike riding, bus trip outings, Bible study, talking to friends and volunteering to help in different departments with numerous tasks.
Larry's infectious laugh made him the life of the party at family get togethers. While he enjoyed his many friends at Otterbein, he understood that Jesus was his Lord and Savior and looked forward to meeting Him and reuniting with his loved ones.
Funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2019 in the Meyer Community Room at Otterbein St. Marys with Pastor Bruce McDaniel officiating.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 am - 11:30 am prior to the services.
Private graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
Memorial contributions may be made to Otterbein Benevolent Fund and/or Grand Lake Hospice.
